Legal Defense Options for Self Defenders

I cannot express to my students how important it is for any self defender to have some kind of legal defense plan in place when you start carrying a gun. As I've heard it said, "Be prepared for the fight after the fight." If you have found yourself in a self defense encounter, it's likely that your case will wind up before a grand jury at the very least, if it doesn't go to trial. You could incur tens of thousands of dollars (and more) in legal expenses. Having a plan and some kind of coverage in place will help mitigate those costs for you.

I share in my Texas License To Carry classes about several options you have as you consider a legal defense plan. I want to make this information available to all of you so that you may consider your needs, compare the plans, and make an informed decision for yourself.
